Hospital Updates via D.C.

Will try to keep everyone posted at the day goes on.  They actually got a reprieve today and did not have to get to the hospital until 7 a.m.    Julie has her very expensive Halo on her head.  The good news is she said it didn’t really hurt.  They are also going to do a dry run of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery before they do the actual surgery.  Last I heard they were waiting to head in for a CT Scan.  They are still planning to be home tonight.

I know both Julie & Brendan are anxious today, so continue to pray for them.

11:29 est  All is well.  Julie is in good spirits. Was even able to smile and show off her Halo for a picture.  Procedure will likely happen after lunch (Texas time).

This girl is a rock..truly amazing.  Typical Julie, smiling and laughing.

P.S.  I got an ACTUAL PHONE CALL from Kate today. They are doing fantastic.  Will blog about that after this day is over.

3:16 p.m.  They are about to start.  Julie is being a trooper. They should be done in a little over an hour.

4:30 p.m.  Julie is out of surgery.  She is doing fine, but is left with a headache from the Halo being removed.  At this point all I know is that she is doing okay and relieved to be done.  Thank you lord for taking care of our girl!  Now lets get to work on that healing!

She will be at the hospital for another hour for observation then I believe home. Wow, have they come a long way on brain surgery or what!  Isn’t technology and medical science amazing.
