Just a quick post today. Yesterday was the best day so far! We actually went to Mont Blanc in France. It was only about an hour drive to the Mountain (however we did make a wrong turn or two, but still not to bad). The town was a gorgeous quaint looking town that you think you would expect to see on a French postcard. I took way to many pictures of just scenery, but it was so amazing. The kids were great.

Jack & Hallie on the Train
We went to Chamonix and took a rack and pinion train up to the top of Mont Blanc. It was absolutely gorgeous. We packed a lunch yesterday (to avoid the expensive prices) and we had a fabulous picnic waiting for the train. Once we got to the top, we got to see some of the rocks inside the mountain. There was also a hiking trail to some caves with Ice sculptures inside it. I only made it a short distance down the mountain before I headed back up. The climb was killing my knee, and I will also admit, I found it a little scary. The kids on the other hand bound down the mountain and back up!
Julie & I at Mont Blanc
We had some great comments from Jackson yesterday. While driving to the Mountain enjoying the scenery, Jack pops up from the back seat and says, “Mommy, why are donkey’s so little.” Then at Chamonix, Jack asked Hallie if she would marry him when he got older. She quickly explained they could not marry because they were brother and sister. I don’t think Jack really understand the term “Marry Me” because he found a sign on the hiking trail that he really liked and he said, “I love this sign so much I want to marry it.” Very cute!

We ended the day by sitting at this great restaurant in the Chamonix village where we had yummy cheese fondue and I had two glasses of some local red wine. It was a fantastic end to a fantastic day.
