Dreaming up a Policy

I love that today Obama is going to lay out his Iraq policy in a speech. Anybody see a problem with a man laying out a policy on a war he has never voted on, a military he has never been a part of, an industry he has never studied, and a country he has never visited?

Tomorrow I plan to lay out my policy on saving the Rainforest.  I am sure it will be good since I am not an environmentalist (don’t freak out people…I am all about saving the environment…I just don’t have any formal training), I have no formal education regarding conservationism, I am not a member of Greenpeace, and I have never had the pleasure of visiting a rainforest (it’s on my list).  But, I have eaten at the Rainforest Café.

Meeting with the Campaigns

We just had a press event and a debate between two representatives from the Presidential campaigns regarding issues of interest to our industry.   I must be completely biased because I thought the McCain surrogate had a much better grasp of the issue.  The Obama guy looked at our issues in a very narrow manner, outlined their plan (what they hope to do), and spent the rest of the time attacking Senator McCain.  The McCain guy looked at the big picture and was able to point to the Senator’s proven record.  He got in a few pot shots at Obama, but he spent far less time attacking the other candidate and more time discussing his proven record.  Just reaffirms why I like my guy.  However, I am wise enough to understand that 50% of you reading this blog do not agree with me.

Surely NOT 50% disagree!! We can’t be that bad off as a nation….please – tell me it isn’t so. I will go back to my “Irma World” where everyone agrees with the correct view!

I just wish more people DID agree with you!!

Your comments on the Rainforst Cafe cracked me up! I feel pretty frightened how strong a support Obama has yet he seems so idealistic to me. I fear for how our country would fare under his leadership. I sure hope not 50% disagree with you. That would be pretty scary. Although I really liked Hillary, I will be changing camp to McCain now as I do not feel comfortable with Obama at all.

How come people just don’t get it about Obama? It amazes me the “stuff” he snowballs people with along with those in his camp and they just smile and think he’s oh so wonderful…ugh!!
